We spent the day at the farm again today and it was WONDERFUL! We were able to accomplish quite a bit of much needed "clean up" and other random chores. We also got to check on the progress of the farm house and were greeted with more amazing progress. When we left this evening all of the new vinyl windows had been installed, both of the new exterior doors were in place and all of the plumbing had been roughed in. They hope to start putting the new vinyl siding on next Wednesday and it should really start to look like an all new house at that point. They are also planning to begin the electrical work on Monday and will be moving on to the heating & cooling system after that is completed. Needless to say we are getting more and more excited each time we see the progress taking place at such a rapid pace. George was happy to help in all of the clean up activities and especially liked knocking off an old, rotten blue bird box from an old antenna post and helping Levi pull up old posts with the loader on the tractor. He was also extremely excited when he and his Pa ran across some "treasure" in the old stanchion milking barn...a toy equipment shed complete with his daddy's & uncle's old toy tractors and combine. By the end of the day he had played with them all and had even washed them up to get the years of dust and grime off. Annie got to go on a tour of the house, had her 1st meal from a bottle & had her 1st tractor ride...not a bad day for a nearly 2 month old. As for Levi and me...we are both just happy to have had the chance to do some physical work outside and come home feeling tired, sore & like we accomplished something. Hopefully this is just the start of more good days to come. Hope you enjoy all the photos from this wonderful day! I'll try and get some photos of the progress on the farm house up tomorrow.
