We have found a 6 week old Australian Shepherd puppy that we will be adding to the family on May 9th. We are the last in line to chose our pup, so we will basically get whichever is left. We do know it will be a male and we have seen pictures and they are all adorable, so we are not concerned about what we will get. The kids and I drove up (the breeder is just over an hour away) on Monday to see them in person and they are all very friendly and look very healthy. The breeder did give us a guess as to which pup she feels will be left for us and I am keeping my fingers crossed that she is right because it was the one that I would have chosen if given the chance. We were also able to meet the mother and father of the puppies and they were also very friendly and beautiful. So, now we are just counting the days until we can pick him up...10 to go!!
So far the name we have chosen is Memphis...of course this is still subject to change once we get him home, but for now he will be Memphis. Once we get some pictures I'll get them up for everyone to see. Were all very excited and anxious to welcome him home on the 9th!!
Can't wait to see Memphis..I bet he'd be a great playmate for Nik..I'm sure Nik would enjoy giving him his 2nd tumble..that's after Biscuit..of course.
ReplyDeleteAlso Katie..I'm helping coordinate The Sedalia Fiber Festival on May 16..it's at The Sedalia Center and we hope to have quite a few animals there..it's $5 for adults and free for children..I know you're probably not interested in fiber but thought the animals may interest the children..check out our site...www.sedaliafiber.com
Looking forward to Memphis being around. I know George is going to have a great "buddy". Fiber Festival is fun -- Susan, Leah and I went last year. Nice ride and fun event. We enjoyed all the parts!
ReplyDeleteOh Excellent..I hope you will come again..we have more vendors..and more animals..last year was the 1st. year it was privately coordinated but we've gotten tons of repeats and support this year..so we look forward to you joining us..I will be under the tent or on stage doing the Emcee job..but please stop by and say hi..I've met you at Katie and Levi's wedding and showers..

ReplyDeleteIF the weather is nice..this will be a good year..we do have more animals that will be on display than previous years..as well we have more other vendors...one piece of info..there are no pets allowed..ie. pups..because of the other animals..didn't want you to bring Memphis and have a problem..of course they may stay in the car, but not allowed inside the festival.
