Week two of George's swim class has now wrapped up and like week one it has seen mixed results. Tuesday was great...George went right in, did everything the teacher asked & had a blast. Yesterday was a slightly different story though. The normal teacher was not there and the presence of a substitute was enough to push George out of his "comfort zone." It took about 15 minutes of talking to him before I was able to get him in the pool...once in he was fine and had a good time, but by that point he had missed half the class. It just seems so strange to me that something so small as a substitute teacher can cause such a shift in his attitude. Hopefully the regular teacher will not miss again and things can continue to go smoothly, but I guess either way he is learning "life lessons"...I just want him to get as much out of the class as possible.
FYI - - We are now trying to get him on a soccer team for the spring...I'll update when there is more info.
