Who Knew...

...it was going to rain nearly 3 inches yesterday? Not me!! I left all of the windows open in the house when the kids and I took Memphis to the vet yesterday morning. It was overcast when we left the house and started drizzling just as we arrived at the vets office, by the time we left the vet it was pouring and continued pouring until we got home (and for another hour or so after that). Every window in the house had a decent amount of water in the sill...lucky for me there was only a few places that it was bad enough to get on the floor. It took about a half an hour and two beach towels to clean it all up, but luckily there isn't any real damage. I guess I should know better than to leave the house with the windows up during the summer when a surprise thunderstorm is always possible. At any rate, I'm thankful for the rain.
