A Stegosaurus.

A Raptor with volcanic action in the background.

A Pterodactyl...I think.

A Triceratops.

A close-up of an Ankylosaurus.

T-Rex...she's mad because the Triceratops & the Ankylosaurus were messing with her baby.

Momma T-Rex cuddling...if a T-Rex is capable of cuddling...with her baby.
This past Sunday afternoon Levi, George and I met up with Levi's Aunt Jenny to go and check out Walking with Dinosaurs, The Arena Spectacular and it was pretty spectacular. To me the most spectacular part was just the sheer size of the dinosaurs...I have read online that the puppets/robots that are used in the performance are life-size and after Sunday I believe it. The bigger ones were literally just barley missing the hanging score board in the center of the Roanoke Civic Center; which I would guess to be at least 40' off the ground. The story, sounds and lighting were all very good as well. It was a great trip and I think it is safe to say that we all had a wonderful time. A very special thanks go out to Jenny for hooking us up with the tickets...we won't have been able to go otherwise. And another special thanks to Levi for the zoom lens that enabled the majority of these shots to occur. Above are just a handful of the 230 pictures we took that day...hope you enjoy!!
Wow -- been waiting for these...and to hear about the visit with the Dinosaurs...looks like it was really something else!
ReplyDeleteWow the pics of the dinosaurs turned out pretty good! Glad the zoom lens made it in! :-)
ReplyDeleteWould you laugh at me if I told you I don't believe in the beast. I know, my husband said he didn't know that before he agreed to marry me. Have a good laugh on me. Miss ya! Iris
