George's 4th Birthday

Yesterday was George's 4th birthday (I know...it's really been 4 years already) and he says he had a great day. We started the day off bright and early with a cinnamon roll breakfast (one of his favorites) and then went for a nice, long walk. We were going to head to the creek for a bit, but the grass in the pasture was too long to take two kids and a puppy through so we decided to wait until we could drive down. After our walk we sat on the front porch and read books for a while, planted a few flowers and then headed in for lunch. After lunch Annie got a bath and settled down for her afternoon nap and then George got his bath and he too settled in for a nap. I took care of a few things around the house and then got myself cleaned up. After nap we got a few more things taken care of and loaded up to head to the library for a quick book swap. Next we swung by Target to catch-up with Gran, Grandpa and Great Gran and then we met Levi for dinner at George's favorite Mexican restaurant. The guys at the restaurant did the whole singing, sombrero, ice cream number for George..he was quite pleased with the ice cream, but he said the singing was too loud and the hat was too big. After dinner we headed home where we all played outside with the soccer goal that George got for his birthday and visited for a little while with Grandma and Pa. All and all I think it was a great day and he seemed to enjoy it as well. The real fun part should be tomorrow at his party...I just hope we can get all the things done that need to be done. We shall see...either way tomorrow will come and with it 20-30 "guest" enjoying the food and fun that is a George Thompson birthday party.
